Welcome!
We are a non-profit, parent-cooperative school for young children. Our school offers a balanced program, celebrating the development of the whole child. We emphasize activities which promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and contribute to the child’s self-esteem and awareness of others. Our children learn through free play as well as organized activities and special projects. They enjoy experiences in art, music, movement, science, number awareness, and language development.
TCNS is a parent-cooperative school with a focus on play-based learning and community.
Classes & Programs
We offer flexible programs for toddlers and preschoolers. Choose from half-day preschool for ages 3-5, or extend their day to match the public school schedule. Our toddler program (18 months to 3 years) also offers half-day or extended-day options. Plus, our fun summer camp keeps the learning and play going, with themed weeks available in both half-day and extended-day formats.
TCNS is moving!
We expect to move locations in early 2025. Our new home is a part of the Village Grove development. The new building will allow TCNS to add classrooms, extend hours for working families, and expand community programs and partnerships in Trumansburg.
